This year marks the fourth season of The Farm at Point Lookout and to celebrate we have scheduled wonderful Farm-to-Table dinners and Open Farm Days. Our farm is nestled into the foothills of Ducktrap Mountain at Point Lookout, a unique mountain resort encompassing 387 wooded acres. We offer 106 guest cabin accommodations and 50,000 square feet of conference and event space in mid-coast Maine.
Since Athena health’s purchase of Point Lookout in 2011, a new vision of sustainability is emerging on the mountain. By transforming an under-utilized baseball field into a four-season, MOFGA-certified (Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association) organic farm, Point Lookout is able provide fresh produce and herbs for all catered events at the resort, plus daily breakfasts and lunches at the Copper Pine Café. The farm operates twelve months of the year due to unique movable greenhouses called “high-tunnels” that use a rolling track system. This four-season farming technique allows for greater productivity, expanded varieties of fruits and vegetables, and a longer growing season. The Point Lookout Farm also produces fresh eggs and honey!

Come meet Point Lookout’s Farm Manager, Bonita Johnson, and learn special techniques for sustainable agriculture and growing outrageously good tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, cucumbers, melons and sweet potatoes in the high tunnels. Please stop in and say hello, explore the fields and greenhouses, visit the hens and honeybees, plus this season’s addition of ducks, piglets and pygmy goats! At the Farm Open House days, round out your visit with a special farm lunch at Point Lookout’s Copper Pine Café, featuring the farm’s own produce. We look forward to seeing you on the mountain!
