In addition to the camping, sailing, fine dining, golfing, and whitewater rafting, there are also many special events and festivals happening year-round in Maine and around Point Lookout Resort & Conference Center All seasons have something to offer the vacationer, but particularly summer and fall are abundant with fun and family-friendly special activities, all within easy access of our resort. Maine festivals range from arts and crafts fairs to lighthouse tour weekends to cook-offs.

One of the most fun events that kids love is the Eastport Pirate Festival. Every year, men and women don their fake hook hands and eye patches (and their pirate accents), and offer a wealth of family fun. There’s a parade, a bed race, kids’ costume contest, and pet show. Other activities kids might love are the many Halloween dress-up events that take place in state parks and many summer children’s book readings. There are also annual kids’ beach Olympics, the Great Falls Balloon Festival, and the Blueberry Festival. Point Lookout Resort & Conference Center is prepared for the influx of vacationers and kids for these special festivals at our family-friendly resort. Maine has tons of activities and special events to keep the little ones entertained.

Some other great events for adults and kids alike include the Annual Maine Lobster Festival, the Annual Car Show at Orchard Beach, the Garlic Festival at Mt. Desert Island (bring breath mints!), the Apple Festival in October, the Bar Harbor Jazz Festival, and the Acadia Night Sky Festival in Acadia National Park, with events happening sunrise through sunset one weekend a year in September. Even more local events are available, and although less thoroughly advertised, will be fun for the whole family and well-known by the staff at our resort. Maine is full of local color, picnics, parades, races and games, food walks and restaurant cook-outs. Point Lookout Resort & Conference Center will also plan special events just for you.
