Centrally located on Route 1 in Northport, Maine, the grounds of the Point Lookout Resort and Conference Center are approximately 1 hour 15 minutes southeast from the Bangor International Airport (BGR), 2 hours north from Portland international (PWM), 3 and half hours northeast from Manchester (MHT) and 4 hours north from Boston’s Logan International Airport (BOS) .
Yes. Point Lookout has a limited number of pet friendly cabins available for an additional $50 fee, so it is advised you call ahead to ensure there is availability. While on-site, we ask that dogs remain leashed at all times while on grounds, including our hiking trails.
Point Lookout is a “clean air facility” property, where indoor smoking is prohibited. If you must smoke, you may smoke outside your cabin, but ask that you responsibly dispose of your butts to avoid additional cleaning fees. If during your stay it is found that smoking took place inside your cabin, a $250 daily damage fee will be imposed.
Point Lookout does not offer childcare services, however guests are welcome to make their own arrangements with external sitters. The Camden and Belfast area YMCA’s also offer daycare and youth programs for children.
For guests joining us during the summer time for week-long stays, Tanglewood 4H Camp located only 5 minutes from the grounds at Point Lookout offers day and residential camp programs open to the public.
The recreational amenities at the Point Lookout do not include a swimming pool, but we do have a private beach and pond on property. You may drive to either, and there is parking. If you wish, you may hike to the pond via the “Knights Pond Trail” which is a 1-mile hike. It is recommended you drive to the beach and park in the designated parking area, a ½ mile away, as it is across busy route 1. There is parking available at the Knight’s Pond as well, which is a 7-mile drive from the Resort. – Reception will provide you with directions.
Our hiking trails are not groomed for biking, but there are many routes you can ride on in the area whether you have a road bike or trail bike.

Wentworth Family Grocery is 5 minutes to our north.
Hannaford is located 15 minutes in either direction to Belfast or Camden, ME.
Rite Aid is located 15 minutes in either direction to Belfast or Camden.

The Copper Pine Cafe serves as Point Lookout’s restaurant. Hours vary per season so please call ahead and check with Reception, 207-789-2000.
We also host special event meals and brunches throughout the year. Information is posted on our website and you can also inquire with Reception prior to or during your visit.
There are no food delivery services to the Resort. However, both Camden and Belfast are a short drive away and offer many great dining spots.
No, but you can place an order for take-out with the Copper Pine.
The cabins at Point Lookout are equipped with all the comforts of home including ironing board, iron, hair dryers, and towels, toiletries bedding, and cooking utensils in the kitchen/kitchenettes. All you need bring are your personal items and any extras you prefer.
Our cabins feature feather free bedding.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own food for personal enjoyment in the cabins during their stay. If you are intending to host family or a small group in your cabin, please let us know how we can assist, as we can provide grills for cook-outs, extra plates. Etc.
If you are planning to host a meeting or event in any of the meeting rooms, banquets spaces or ballrooms at the Point Lookout Resort, all catering and beverage service must be provided by Point Lookout. We do not allow off site catering for these events.

Point Lookout Resort is approximately an hour and 45 minutes from Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island but due to traffic in the summertime the drive may take over 2 hours.
